My name is Barbara Jurgensmeier and I am a music therapist, early childhood music teacher, collaborative pianist, and performer. I received my Bachelors in Music Education from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS and a Masters in Music Education, Major in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. Over the course of my career, I have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of populations across many different settings. Whether I am performing, teaching, or providing therapeutic services, I believe that music holds the power to significantly change lives. 

 

When I'm not working, I am chasing around my 4 children, dog, and husband. I love spending time with family and friends, doing puzzles, watching movies (and/or binging entire Netflix series!), and attending live music experiences. I am also an avid runner and am usually training for a race of some kind.
